User Agreement

This User Agreement ("Agreement") applies to your use of globalcarshipping.com and to any vehicle shipment you book with Global Car Shipping LLC ("Global Car Shipping", "we", "us"). By requesting a quote or booking a shipment, you agree to these terms.

1. Our role as a broker

Global Car Shipping is a licensed property broker (USDOT [USDOT #], MC [MC #]). We arrange transportation of your vehicle with independent, federally authorized motor carriers. We do not own trucks or physically transport vehicles. The carrier assigned to your order is responsible for the vehicle while it is in the carrier's possession.

2. Quotes and prices

  • Quotes are based on the information you provide, including locations, vehicle, condition, transport type and pickup date. If that information is wrong or changes (for example, the vehicle is modified, oversized or does not run), the price may change.
  • A quote is valid for 24 hours unless we tell you otherwise.
  • The cash or Zelle price applies only when you pay the carrier by cash, Zelle or certified funds at delivery. Card payments are charged at the card price.

3. Booking and payment

  • You can pay in one of two ways. Best price: a deposit of 20% of the cash price by credit or debit card once a carrier is assigned, and the rest in cash, Zelle or certified funds at delivery. Standard rate: the full card price by credit or debit card once a carrier is assigned. Nothing is charged when you book.
  • Card payments are processed by our payment processor (Chase / Authorize.net). We do not store your full card number.
  • Your order is confirmed when we assign a carrier and notify you. You can see and update your order in your online account.
  • Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the balance is due to the carrier at delivery in the agreed form of payment.
  • If you fail to pay at delivery, the carrier may hold the vehicle until payment is made, and storage fees may apply.

4. Pickup and delivery dates

Pickup and delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Weather, traffic, mechanical problems, road rules and other events outside our control can cause delays. We are not responsible for costs caused by delays, such as rental cars or travel expenses, unless required by law.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate addresses and contacts, and make sure someone is available at pickup and delivery.
  • Prepare the vehicle: remove toll tags and valuables, leave about a quarter tank of fuel or less, and disclose leaks, modifications or mechanical problems.
  • Personal items: up to 100 lbs is allowed free of charge in the trunk or cargo area, below the window line, at your own risk. Carriers are not responsible for personal items.
  • Tell us before pickup if the vehicle does not run, so a carrier with a winch can be assigned.

6. Inspection and damage claims

The driver will inspect the vehicle with you at pickup and record its condition on the Bill of Lading. Inspect the vehicle carefully at delivery and write any new damage on the Bill of Lading before signing. Damage not noted at delivery may not be accepted by the carrier. Damage claims are made against the carrier and its cargo insurance. We will help you start and follow up on a claim.

7. Cancellations

You may cancel at no cost before a carrier has been assigned, and any deposit or card payment is refunded to your card. If you cancel after a carrier is assigned or dispatched, or if the vehicle is not available at the agreed pickup time, a cancellation or dry-run fee may apply. We will tell you the amount before you confirm the cancellation, and it may be taken from your deposit.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Global Car Shipping is not liable for loss of or damage to your vehicle while it is in a carrier's possession, or for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to our brokerage services is limited to the brokerage fee we received for your shipment.

9. Use of the website

You agree to give accurate information and to use the site only for lawful purposes. The website content, name and logo belong to Global Car Shipping LLC and may not be copied without permission.

10. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and applicable federal law. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, unless the law requires otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update this Agreement from time to time. The version in effect when you book applies to that shipment.
